The13th International Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics (ISEM2007)
September 9 -12, 2007, Kellogg Center, Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, U.S.A.
The 13th International Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics (ISEM) is sponsored by the Japan Society of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics . Specifically, the symposium provides a forum for exchanging ideas and discussing developments in such areas as:
- Advanced Magnetic Engineering, Dynamics, Control
- Micromagnetism, Hysteresis
- Magnetic Fluids, Magnetic Processing of Materials
- Applied Superconductivity
- Nuclear Fusion Technology
- Laser and Particle Beams, Plasmas
- Analysis and Simulation of Electromagnetic Devices
- Electromagnetic Sensors and Actuators
- Induction Heating
- Micro ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS), Nanotechnology
- Electromagnetic Functional Materials and Adaptive Systems
- Nondestructive Evaluation (Electromagnetic and Mechanical methods)
- Maintenance and Reliability Engineering
- Inverse Problems
- Biomedical Engineering
The symposium emphasizes both basic science and early engineering developments in these interdisciplinary fields. The symposium also strongly encourages practical application of emerging technologies to problems of direct relevance to industries. Consequently, both theoretical as well as applied research topics are of interest.
The symposium will include both oral and poster sessions.
ISEM Special Session
On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to announce the special session at the 13th International Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics (ISEM). This special session will be scheduled on the second day of the ISEM (11, September 2007). The program will comprise of two keynote lectures, poster presentations, and a panel discussion.

PAPER SUBMISSION:
Please submit a 2 page short paper in electronic form by March 1, 2007 as a PDF file. Please refer to the Paper Submission page for details on format, submission and registration. Participants may submit a 4 page full paper at the conference. Selected full papers will be published in a special issue of the International Journal for Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics.
